Qualifications
1. Possess a growing faith in Jesus Christ and be able to share that faith
with others.
2. Physical stamina and emotional stability
3. Ability to express the Christian faith to children and youth.
4. Willingness to accept the philosophy, goals, and objectives of Camp
Greenwood
5. Willingness to participate in camp activities
Responsibilities
1. Plan, prepare and
work with staff and kids to present activity.
2. Plan, prepare and work with staff and kids to lead evening vespers
3. Participate in camp activities
4. Provide spiritual and moral support to summer camp staff and campers
5. Attend all meals
6. Complete an evaluation of the camp session
Provisions
Recognizing the unique
gifts that chaplains bring to the camping experience, the Camp Greenwood Agency
promises to provide:
1. A pre-camp training session for chaplains
2. Private living accommodations for each chaplain and his/her family
3. Three meals and a snack daily
4. Sample worship resources
5. A copy of the Christian Education curriculum
6. A copy of the daily camp schedule and activities
What To Bring
All chaplains will need to
bring:
1. Bedding for a queen bed or a sleeping bag
2. Worship preparation resources
3. Plans and outlines for Morning Watch, Evening Vesper, and Education
activities
4. Towel, washcloth and toiletries
5. Anything else you wish to bring to enhance your stay with us
6. Your passion for sharing Christ with children
