Qualifications:
1. At least 18 years of age and one year out of High School.
2. Prior camp and recreational experience.
3. Possess a growing faith in Jesus Christ and be able to share that faith with
others.
4. Possess leadership qualities.
5. Possess enthusiasm about the Christian camping experience
6. Friendly and up-beat personality.
7. Enjoy working with children and youth.
8. High moral character, physical stamina and emotional stability.
9. Good physical health, neat and clean in practice and appearance.
Responsibilities:
1. Interpret the Christian faith to the campers through living and
learning
experiences.
2. Help each camper to adjust and grow in the Christian camp atmosphere.
3. Guide individual camper to participation in all camp activities.
4. Lead, assist or participate in program activities.
5. Work with chaplains and volunteer staff.
6. Know, understand, interpret and abide by camp rules.
7. Observe and be proactive when potential dangers and hazards to campers and
other staff members arise.
8. Observe and be proactive when health (physical, emotional or spiritual)
problems
arise for campers and other staff members.
9. Promote Camp Greenwood through good public relations and appropriate
personal
conduct both on and off camp property.
10. Oversee one assigned program area.
11. Attend all scheduled staff meetings.
12. Show genuine (and appropriate) interest in all campers.
13. Ensure that campers are on time for all meals and scheduled activities.
14. Work cooperatively with and be supportive of other staff members.
15. Attend all celebrations, devotions, vespers and campfires.
16. Be a host/hostess at a table for each meal.
17. Complete a weekly evaluation of each camp session.
18. Weekly set-up and clean-up your assigned cabin.
19. Conduct daily devotions at the end of each day with your cabin.
20. Lead morning vespers as scheduled.
Remuneration:
1. Pay range is $200-225 per week depending on experience and
qualifications.
2. Housing (in cabins with campers), laundry facilities, meals and snacks are
provided.
