Sample Day Schedule

7:45 ** Rise and Shine - Counselors sleep in the cabin bunk room with campers. The bell rings at 7:45 sharp to get the day going. All activity and schedule changes are announced by the ringing of the bell.

8:10 ** Staff Prayer/Hoppers Report -  During this time, several staff stay in the cabin areas and supervise campers while all other staff meet for morning prayer and announcements. This is an amazing way to start the day, gathered with fellow Christians in prayer to do His work.  Hoppers (KP) report to the dinning hall to help get tables set, chairs in place and general duties for the meal.

8:25 ** Flag Raising Ceremony - A time to reflect on those who give so much for our FREEDOMS!

8:30 Breakfast - Meals are served on round tables where everyone is equal. All meals have one main dish with several side dishes. In addition, each meal has a buffet table where campers have other options. Cold cereal is always at breakfast.  We will wait for all campers to be present before starting devotions and wait till all are finished before we dismiss.  This promotes camp family.

9:00 Chapel - Camp Greenwood prayerfully develops a spiritual theme for each summer. This theme is integrated into daily chapels typically through skits and stories. The theme is also carried into evening devotions in the cabins at night.

9:20 Cabin/Camp Clean Up - One of the valuable lessons that can be learned at camp is how to live with others in a community as well as personal responsibility.  Cabin Clean-up is a time where everyone helps keep camp clean.
